Turquoise water in the morning, golden dunes in the afternoon – on this private full-day tour, you will experience two worlds of Oman in a single day.
You will travel exclusively with your own group (max. 4 people) – accompanied by me, Mohammed. I am Omani, have lived in Germany, and will lead this tour exclusively in German. There are only a handful of German-speaking Omani guides – and that's exactly what makes this day so personal: no translation, no distance, just real conversations about my country.
The first highlight is Wadi Bani Khalid, one of the most beautiful wadis in the country. After a short walk, an oasis with clear, turquoise pools opens up between rocks and palm trees. Here you will have time to swim in the pleasantly cool water – or you can simply enjoy the tranquility in the shade of the palm trees.
In the afternoon, we will reach the Wahiba Desert: golden dunes stretching to the horizon, soft sand underfoot, and a silence that can only be experienced in the desert. We stop at the most beautiful vantage points – with time for photos and that one moment when you just look.
Along the way, I will tell you about the life of the Bedouins and their close connection to the desert – and why camels are still part of daily life in Oman. And because I know both countries, we can also talk about the differences and similarities between Oman and Germany – in a straightforward and honest way.
The itinerary remains flexible: It's not about checking off places, but about consciously experiencing Oman – at your own pace.
Many guests later say that this very day is one of their fondest memories of Oman.
