Explore Mauritius' southern coast and west interior on a private day tour with pickup offered from around the island. Be impressed by the Trou aux Cerfs volcanic crater, admire the awe-inspiring beauty of the Grand Bassin Hindu Temple, see stunning mountain landscapes, listen to cascading waterfalls, and admire the rich flora and fauna that make this island a tropical paradise.
Your adventure begins at your hotel where you will be picked up and then taken to the town of Curepipe and Floreal, both known for their colonial French architecture. Afterward, drive to the top of Trou aux Cerfs crater to see an extinct volcano now overgrown with nature that has reclaimed the once-extinct volcano. Immerse yourself in the beauty of indigenous plant species, towering green pines, and be captivated by the panoramic 360-degree views of Curepipe city and the majestic mountain ranges.
Then, head to Lord Shiva, Grand Bassin Hindu Temple which is surrounded by the crater lake of Ganga Talao. Here, have the chance to learn about Hindu culture and traditions and how they persist in modern Mauritius society.
From the temple then drive to Black River Gorges National Park and Alexandra Waterfall to admire the breathtaking panoramas of the island's southern landscapes and mountains.
Conclude your adventure with a final stop at La Vallée des Couleurs in Chamouny, where the 23 Colored Earth marvel awaits, complemented by an array of local activities.
