Get to the walls of Birgu, also known as Vittoriosa, where we are shown the amazing fortresses that decorate Malta's skyline. Explore the Collacchio area with its beautiful narrow winding streets, and walk past the palaces constructed by the knights in 1530.
Learn about the resilience of the Birgu inhabitants during the Second World War, as this place was the most bombed area on the Maltese Islands.
Discover the part played by the British Navy in the development of these cities, where drydocks and the headquarters of the British Royal Navy in the Mediterranean were located. Finish off your tour at the waterfront of Birgu, in front of the St. Laurence Church, from where you can board a dghajsa, a typical boat similar to a gondola, back to Valletta.
