One of the best activities and places to visit in the Historic Center of Quito. The welcome will be at the entrance of a colonial house built in 1748 and carefully remodeled to preserve the riches of the Colonial era. You will be greeted with a poncho upon entry so that you can wear it throughout the activity and feel the handmade fabric that ancestral communities in Ecuador lovingly use in their clothing, communities such as the Otavalo, Colorados, Salazacas, and more. You will have a tour and explanation of the main garments of the ancestral communities. Then you will have a demonstration of the handcrafted weaving of ponchos and you will learn how to weave ponchos by hand. We continue our tour and then you will have a finger painting exhibition with master Claudio, who will teach you the art of painting with your own hands. You will have your own painting ready to take home with you as an unforgettable souvenir of Quito, Ecuador. At the end, you will have time for shopping in our handmade crafts store.
