Your adventure begins very early in the morning with a departure from Quito, heading to the legendary Avenue of the Volcanoes, where you'll get stunning views of the Cotopaxi, Los Ilinizas, and Rumiñahui volcanoes silhouetted against the Andean sky.
The first stop takes you to a traditional páramo house, where you'll learn about guinea pig farming up close and discover its profound cultural significance for the indigenous communities of the Ecuadorian highlands.
Continuing the tour, you'll reach the highlight of the day: Quilotoa Lagoon, after a fantastic excursion around a spectacular volcanic crater with turquoise-blue waters caused by natural sulfur. According to local legend, this is where the gods Quilotoa and Toachi fought over the reflection of the sky in the lagoon. You'll have free time to hike to its vantage points and take unforgettable photos of the landscape.
Afterward, you'll visit a craft workshop in the Tigua Community, famous for its colorful paintings that tell stories and depict ancient indigenous traditions. Before returning, you'll stop at the impressive Toachi River Canyon, a natural formation stretching 30 km and 100 meters deep, sculpted by ancient volcanic eruptions.
The day ends with a comfortable ride back to Quito, with drop-off directly at your hotel.
