Physical condition: The ascent to the Quilotoa Crater is a demanding activity that requires good physical condition. Itinerary 8 AM: Pick-up from your hotel in the city of Baños de Agua Santa by private vehicle. 10:00 AM: Once the group has changed to our touristic transportation, the scheduled tour will begin. 11:00 AM: During the three-hour trip to the Quilotoa Lagoon, we will make several stops to appreciate the region's charms. Toachi River Canyon vantage point: A panoramic point from which you can admire the breathtaking view of the Toachi River Canyon. 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: We continue the journey to Zumbahua, taking in the colorful rural landscapes along the way: indigenous crops, herds of sheep and llamas, typical adobe and straw houses, and the majestic presence of Cotopaxi Volcano. 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Arrival at Quilotoa Lagoon, located at 3,800 meters (12,467 feet). 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Walk to the edge of the Quilotoa Lagoon, where you can go kayaking or simply enjoy the breathtaking scenery. 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Ascent to the edge of the lagoon. You can do this on foot or on horseback (additional cost of $10 USD). 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Lunch. 6:00 PM: Arrival at more than 50 hotels in the Quito tourist area.
