Discover one of Costa Rica's most beautiful regions on a well-trained horse: the highlands of Naranjo, on the way to La Fortuna.

These mountains are known for their alpine-like appearance and abundance of produce growing on their slopes, including coffee, strawberries, potatoes, and squash.

On your highlands horseback tour, enjoy riding through green scenery and cloud forest patches with centennial ficus trees, where toucans, quetzals, and owls can sometimes be seen. Reach an elevation of about 5,500 ft and soak in one of the most scenic views in the country.

After the tour, enjoy a complimentary picnic with traditional local products while enjoying the serene atmosphere and cool climate.

The tour lasts about 2 hours, including the picnic. This is a great option if you are on your way to La Fortuna.
