The activity kicks off at the meeting point in Sierpe, where you'll board the boat for a nature tour with a certified local guide. This expert is a naturalist, skilled in wildlife spotting, and has extensive knowledge of the ecosystems we'll visit. The Térraba Sierpe National Wetland is the largest in Central America, home to a wealth of flora and fauna, an ecosystem full of life and biodiversity. Birds, mammals, and reptiles are among the main attractions in this activity. The tour consists of 3 hours by boat visiting different points within the wetland to observe species. It's important to mention that it's an activity where we work with nature in its natural habitat. There's time for photos and videos of the species we manage to spot. Water and soft drinks are offered during the tour. After the 3-hour tour, we'll head back to the boat's boarding point for a typical Costa Rican lunch (vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options available).
For the activity, we recommend wearing comfortable clothes. You don't need to be super fit, as the tour is all by boat, making it accessible to anyone of any age.
