At Tamarindo Surf & Tours, we offer more than just a surf lesson. We are a fully licensed and insured Costa Rican surf school with a real physical location in town, complete with secure lockers, showers to rinse off after your session, and brand-new soft-top surfboards designed for comfort and safety.
Join us for 1.5 to 2 hours of fun and progression surfing the beautiful waves of Tamarindo. Our lessons are suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to intermediate surfers.
Your experience begins with a clear and easy beach introduction, where your local instructor will cover ocean safety, surf fundamentals, and technique. Then it’s time to head into the water and start catching waves. Beginners will learn how to paddle, stand up, and ride their first waves, while intermediate surfers receive personalized coaching from experienced local surfers to improve their skills.
