Full Description Experience one of Costa Rica’s most incredible natural spectacles on an evening turtle nesting and hatching tour near Tamarindo. Travel from Tamarindo to a secluded beach where sea turtles come ashore during the nesting season. Depending on natural conditions and turtle activity, you may have the opportunity to observe turtles arriving from the ocean, preparing their nests, laying eggs, or hatchlings emerging and making their way toward the sea. Your knowledgeable bilingual naturalist guide will explain the turtle nesting and hatching process, the different turtle species, and local conservation efforts. The experience is conducted in accordance with applicable wildlife protection regulations, with the safety and protection of the turtles as the priority. During the tour, you may encounter Olive Ridley and Green turtles, while Leatherback turtles may occasionally be seen depending on seasonal activity. As these are wild animals, turtle sightings, nesting, and hatching activity cannot be guaranteed. The tour takes place at night, offering a peaceful and memorable way to experience Costa Rica’s coastal wildlife.
