Embark on an ethical horseback riding tour in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica, and explore the Caribbean beaches and tropical rainforest with rescued horses and experienced local guides.

Established in 2007, our project is the first and only dedicated horse rescue project in Costa Rica’s South Caribbean. Our work is built on over 40 years of professional equestrian experience, combining classical riding principles, Natural Horsemanship, equine communication and psychology, animal behaviour, biomechanics, veterinary knowledge, and horse welfare.

Our team includes a Doctor in Psychopedagogy, Communication and Psychology, combining university-level academic education with academic equestrian training, structured training in veterinary care and biomechanics, and extensive professional experience in equestrian disciplines, equine communication, animal behaviour, and the human–horse relationship.

Over the years, our rescue work has involved horses arriving in extremely poor physical and psychological condition, requiring rehabilitation, careful observation, and individualized care. We have also been involved on several occasions in cases of neglect and mistreatment within the local community, working alongside Costa Rican government authorities responsible for animal welfare when intervention was necessary.

Every experience is designed around the horses’ physical and emotional well-being while ensuring safety, correct communication, and an authentic connection between horse and rider.

Ride through the most beautiful areas of the South Caribbean, including Cocles, Punta Cocles, Playa Chiquita, Punta Uva, Arrecife, Playa Grande, and Manzanillo. Each tour is adapted to every riding level, from complete beginners to experienced riders.
