商品説明

The birdwatching tour begins in **Playa Blanca, Puerto Jiménez**, on the Osa Peninsula, where you will meet your naturalist guide before starting the activity. After a short safety briefing and an introduction to the species you may encounter, you'll begin a walking tour along nature trails and through rainforest areas surrounding the beach. The activity has an **approximate duration of 4 hours** and ends at the same starting point, in Playa Blanca. Playa Blanca is one of the best places in the Golfo Dulce for birdwatching. The combination of tropical rainforest, coastal vegetation, nearby mangroves, and the tranquility of the beach creates an ideal habitat for an extraordinary diversity of resident and migrating species. Thanks to this wealth of ecosystems, each tour offers unique opportunities to observe birds in their natural environment. During the hike, you will walk along trails with different levels of vegetation, where the birdsong is a constant accompaniment to the experience. Your tour guide will use binoculars and a ground-based telescope to help you locate and identify the most representative species of the region, as well as share information about their behavior, feeding, reproduction, and the importance of conserving these ecosystems. Among the species that can be observed are the **scarlet macaw (Ara macao)**, considered one of the most emblematic birds of Costa Rica for its intense colors and spectacular flights over the forest. You may also find the **keel-billed toucan (Ramphastos sulfuratus)**, known for its huge multicolored beak; the **violet trogon (Trogon violaceus)**, famous for its bright colors; different species of **tangaras**, **oropendolas**, **flycatchers**, **eufonias**, **hummingbirds**, **kingfishers**, **herons**, and **roseate spoonbills** when conditions allow, as well as birds of prey such as hawks and sparrow hawks. Photography enthusiasts will have plenty of opportunities to capture images of birds feeding, moving through the treetops, or resting near the shore. Your tour guide will advise you on the best techniques for observing the wildlife without altering its natural behavior and always keeping a responsible distance. This experience is designed for beginner birdwatchers as well as enthusiasts and nature photographers. No previous experience is necessary, as the tour guide will adapt the tour to the group's pace and provide support in identifying the species observed. The sightseeing tour concludes at **Playa Blanca**, the same place where the activity began, after approximately **4 hours** of exploration and bird watching, leaving you with the souvenir of one of the most biodiverse destinations in Costa Rica and an unforgettable experience on the Osa Peninsula.
