Begin your tour with a drive south along the Pan-American Highway to the base of the majestic Irazú Volcano, known as "Iztaru" in indigenous traditions. The name comes from an ancient village located on the slopes of the volcano, offering a fascinating insight into the rich cultural heritage of the area.

Along the way, pass through fertile lands where a variety of crops and vegetation are grown. Take in stunning panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. At the top of the Irazú Volcano, on a clear day, be rewarded with an impressive aerial view, where you can see both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans in the distance.

Descend to the city of Cartago, where you will visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels, an important pilgrimage site for thousands of faithful. The tour continues to the Lankester Botanical Garden, an 11-hectare oasis that is home to more than 3,000 species of plants, including endangered native orchids and epiphytes.

Next, head to the charming Orosi Valley, a region known for its tranquility and dreamy landscapes. Visit one of the few colonial churches that still stand in Costa Rica, a living testimony to the country's colonial past. Finally, enjoy a typical lunch at a local restaurant.
