Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Baku and head to Shamakhi. Learn about the town's history as part of successive Persian empires and its importance as the capital of the Shirvanshah realm from the 8th to 15th centuries.

Continue to Lahij, one of the most ancient human settlements in Azerbaijan. Explore the town, located in the Ismayilli region of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range at a height of 1211 meters above sea level.

Next, head to Gabala, the ancient capital of Caucasian Albania. See the ruins of the ancient city and the main gate of Caucasian Albania. Learn about the ongoing excavations near the village Chukhur that show that Gabala was one of the main cities with developed trade and crafts from the 4th century BC to the 18th century.
