Begin your journey at the Shamakhi Juma Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in the Caucasus, built in 743. Learn about its history, including its survival through earthquakes and its restoration in 2013. Discover how it stands as a witness to historical events and a symbol of faith and art.

Next, head to Basgal, a historic settlement in the Ismayilli District. Explore its fortress walls, ancient sewage system, mosques, springs, and narrow streets paved with river stones. Discover the architectural legacy of Basgal, with its earthquake-resistant buildings and unique design features.

Finally, visit Lahij, a village known for its centuries-old copper craftsmanship, stone-paved streets, and preserved medieval urban layout. Experience the village’s vibrant craft culture, with artisans working in traditional workshops and houses built from river stone and wood. Learn about Lahij’s history as a craft and trade center along ancient mountain routes. On the way back, we will stop at the Hanging Bridge to take a picture. (Optional)
