Located just 12 km from the city, Tierra del Fuego National Park is a must-see on your trip to Ushuaia. A place that combines history, fauna, and flora, it protects the only portion of the sub-Antarctic forest that reaches the ocean in Argentina.
The excursion begins with transportation from your accommodation, picking up each person participating in the tour. Once everyone has gathered, we will head west on National Route No. 3 until we reach the Fin del Mundo train station, located 1 km before the park entrance, where the Fin del Mundo Train tour will begin. We will then enter the reserve with our guide and driver and head to the “Park Station,” where we will meet again to continue the excursion.
Inside the National Park, we will visit the highlights of the public areas, including Caleta Zaratiegui, Lake Acigami (also called Roca), an impressive glacial lake shared between Argentina and Chile; and finally, Lapataia Bay, the end point of National Route 3, a Pan-American highway connecting Tierra del Fuego with Alaska.
