We pick you up at the hotel at 8:30 AM as we ascend through the spectacular mountainous landscape of the Andes. We follow the route of the old Trans-Andean railway, and the path crosses the three mountain ranges. We go around the Cordón del Plata and its hills and the Potrerillos Dam. We follow the river until we reach the small Andean village of Uspallata. Our route crosses the Penitentes ski resort and continues almost to the border with Chile. We will enter the Aconcagua Park, where (weather permitting) we will take a short hike to the Laguna de Horcones (from here we will have a magnificent view of the southern wall of Aconcagua, the highest mountain after the Himalayas). On the way back, we stop at Puente del Inca, a natural bridge and hot spring complex. We continue downhill to return to Uspallata, where we will enjoy a lunch paired with wine
