We begin this winter trekking experience from El Calafate. Upon arrival in El Chaltén, we make a stop to use the restrooms and adjust the necessary equipment: crampons, trekking poles, and backpacks.

The route starts with an initial kilometer ascending a steep slope, leading to the impressive “Río de las Vueltas Viewpoint,” a natural balcony that we reach in approximately 30 minutes.

The second kilometer, with a gentler incline, follows the western slope of the Río de las Vueltas valley, offering panoramic views of the Los Cóndores mountain range.

At the beginning of the third kilometer, we reach the junction that leads us toward Laguna Capri. In this final stretch, the trail reveals spectacular mountain views.

From its shores, you can enjoy an unforgettable view of Mount Chaltén, also known as Fitz Roy—a landscape that invites you to pause and take in one of the region’s most iconic sights. To finish, we will enjoy an outdoor picnic.

Winter season (May to August): The tour operates only on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Summer season (September to April): The tour operates every even-numbered day of the month.

  • Know Before You Go: This tour requires a minimum of 4 participants per booking to operate. If the excursion cannot operate because the minimum requirement of 4 participants is not met, all affected travelers will receive a full refund
