El Calafate: Perito Moreno Glacier with Optional Boat｜Argentina

Experience the majesty of the Perito Moreno Glacier on a guided day trip from El Calafate. The tour begins with a hotel pickup and continues along Provincial Route N°11, which borders Lake Argentino for approximately 40 km, offering stunning views of the Patagonian steppe and the lake.

Upon arrival at Los Glaciares National Park, you will travel through a Magellanic forest before reaching the glacier’s walkways and balconies. Walk along the different viewpoints at various heights and admire the immense ice formations from multiple angles. You will also visit iconic spots such as the Curva de los Suspiros, where you’ll get your first breathtaking view of the Perito Moreno Glacier.

You’ll have free time to explore the walkways at your own pace, witness possible ice calvings, and optionally have lunch at the park’s restaurants (not included).

If the boat option is selected, you will head to the Muelle Bajo las Sombras to board a catamaran for an approximately 1-hour navigation, allowing you to get closer to the glacier’s towering ice walls and fully appreciate its scale and beauty from the water.

In the afternoon, you will return to El Calafate with hotel drop-off included.
