We'll depart from El Calafate and head to Lago del Desierto, located just a few kilometers from El Chaltén.
During the tour, we'll make stops at scenic vantage points to admire the Andes Mountains, Lake Argentino and Lake Viedma, as well as the open landscapes of the Patagonian steppe. Upon entering El Chaltén, we'll enjoy one of the most iconic views of the village, with the imposing Mount Fitz Roy dominating the horizon.
We'll then take a scenic route to Lago del Desierto, with a stop at Chorrillo del Salto Waterfall, a glacial waterfall over 20 meters high. We'll continue along the banks of the Río de las Vueltas, surrounded by native forests, mountains, and glaciers.
Upon arriving at the lake, we'll take an approximately one-hour boat trip, from which we can see the Huemul Glacier and the Vespignani Glacier, surrounded by lenga and ñire forests.
Afterwards, we'll hike to Huemul Lagoon, following a trail through a lenga forest with a gradual ascent. From the lagoon, you get a privileged view of the glacier.
