Discover the Imposing Perito Moreno Glacier: Full Excursion with Boating (8 Hours)
Embark on a full-day adventure from El Calafate to the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier, located in the heart of Los Glaciares National Park. This 8-hour tour offers you a comprehensive experience, combining exploration of the footbridges with an exclusive boat cruise in front of the glacier.
Detailed Itinerary:
Departure and Panoramic Tour: Departing at 09:00, we'll begin an 80-km journey accompanied by a bilingual (Spanish/English) tour guide. Enjoy views of Lake Argentino and Redonda Bay along the way, and watch the landscape evolve from the Patagonian steppe to the Notofagus forests. We'll make a stop to admire the first panoramic views of the south wall of the glacier. Exploration of the Walkways: After paying the admission ticket to the National Park, we'll continue to the parking lot, the starting point of the walkways. You'll have free time to explore the walkways at your own pace, enjoying the breathtaking views from the Main Balcony, 146 meters high. Lunch options are available at the on-site restaurant and snack bar. Exclusive Navigation (Included): Complement your experience with a 1-hour boat ride on Lake Argentino, in front of the northern wall of the glacier. From the boat, you'll be able to get a close look at the detached ice floes and the continuous ice calving, capturing unique photos and videos. Boarding takes place at “Bajo de las Sombras” or “Puerto Moreno”, as applicable. Drop-off in El Calafate: Drop-off is scheduled for approximately 5:00 PM. Practical Information:
Duration: 8 hours. Availability: All year. It includes: Transfer from El Calafate. Tour with bilingual English-Spanish live guide. Visit to the boardwalks of the Perito Moreno Glacier. 1-hour sailing in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Recommendations: Wear warm clothes and comfortable shoes. It is suggested to bring sunglasses, sunscreen, comfortable and warm clothing, a waterproof jacket, gloves, and comfortable footwear. This activity is suitable for all ages. Important: Does not include National Park entrance fees. For minors, a photo of the document proving their age is required. Retirees must present a card.
