Buenos Aires has tango shows. But porteños (Buenos Aires locals) don't go to tango shows — they go to milongas: neighborhood tango dance clubs, open 365 days a year, where tango is real, social, and alive. That's where we'll take you.
Your experience begins with a private one-hour tango lesson at a local studio — just your group and your guide, a professional tango dancer who has dedicated their life to this art. The lesson is adapted entirely to your level and your pace.
From the studio, you'll head together to a milonga. Your guide will decode everything: the cabeceo (the subtle nod used to invite someone to dance), the tandas (sets of music separated by a short break), the ronda (the line of dance everyone follows).
Dancing is entirely optional. If you'd like to try the floor, your guide will show you how to enter, where to position yourself, and what to be aware of — so you feel comfortable and looked after. If you prefer to watch, that's a completely valid and wonderful way to spend the evening.
