La Pulpería del Mate invites you to experience the Mate Ritual from the inside, in the heart of downtown Buenos Aires, inside the Museo del Mate (Av. de Mayo 853). You'll start with a cultural introduction to understand how this infusion became a symbol of togetherness and Argentine identity.
Then, you'll take part in a guided tasting of different types of yerba mate: you'll learn to recognize aromas, flavors, body, and intensities, comparing sensory profiles like an expert would. A specialized sommelier will explain the production processes that influence each variety and teach you the proper technique for preparing mate: water temperature, assembly, handling of the yerba, and tips for achieving the ideal balance.
To finish, you will make your own mate in an authentic, warm, and participatory atmosphere. What's more, this product INCLUDES A SELF-GUIDED VISIT TO THE MUSEO DEL MATE, combining the two experiences in a single reservation (we're the only ones offering this inside the museum).
