Visit the city's historic blue-colored cathedral. Just across it is Plaza Cuartel, a restored World War II garrison honoring the American soldiers who perished in the tragic Palawan Massacre.
Stop at a souvenir shop and pasalubong center to shop for authentic Palawan items including roasted cashew nuts, local pearls, wood handicrafts, and delicacies to bring home.
Drop by your hotel to freshen up and change into comfortable evening wear before heading out for the night tour. Board your van once again to travel to the eco-park site (typically the Iwahig, Sicsican, or Nagsaguipi River).
Before heading out to the water, enjoy a freshly prepared, local buffet dinner included in your package at the floating restaurant or riverside pavilion. Listen to a short orientation regarding safety guidelines and environmental preservation rules (such as strictly avoiding flash photography). Put on your provided life vests.
Step into a traditional paddle boat managed by a local guide. Cruise silently down the mangrove-lined river to witness thousands of fireflies lighting up the trees like synchronized Christmas lights. Your guide will also point out constellations in the clear night sky and glowing bioluminescent plankton reacting in the dark water.
