Experience an exhilarating full-day journey across Upolu, exploring six magnificent freshwater and saltwater destinations along the island’s north and south coasts. Travel through three scenic mountain passes, with opportunities for birdwatching and selected off-road sections along the way.
Suggested Itinerary Sauniatu Waterfall — 1 hour Begin the day with a scenic drive inland to Sauniatu Waterfall, with time to enjoy the surroundings and take a refreshing swim. Piula Cave Pool — 1 hour Continue to Piula Cave Pool for a freshwater swim and time to explore the natural cave and coastal surroundings. Lalomanu Beach — 1 hour Travel east along Upolu’s coast to Lalomanu Beach for a relaxing beach stop and saltwater swim. To Sua Ocean Trench — 1.5 hours Visit the iconic To Sua Ocean Trench and enjoy time to swim, explore the gardens and take in the spectacular surroundings. Togitogiga Waterfall — 1 hour Continue west to Togitogiga Waterfall for another refreshing freshwater swim and time to enjoy the natural setting. O le Pupu-Pue National Park Lava Cliff Walk — 1 hour Explore the coastal landscape of O le Pupu-Pue National Park on a lava cliff walk, with opportunities for birdwatching and scenic views. Papapapaitai Falls — 30 minutes Finish the journey with a scenic stop at Papapapaitai Falls, a spectacular 110-metre waterfall.
Total suggested activity time: approximately 7 hours, excluding driving time between destinations.
