Vallée de Mai is a tropical forest, partly primary, composed mainly of palm trees endemic to the archipelago, some of which have survived since prehistoric times. Immerse yourself in this world that is unique in the world. Among these palm trees is the famous Coco de Mer, the plant that produces the largest seed in the plant world. This forest is special because of its current state, which closely resembles all the forests that covered the planet's surface during the prehistoric era. It shows us how vegetation has evolved through the ages. Many consider the site to be an identical replica of the mythical Garden of Eden, the original paradise. This area, unique in the world, has earned it global recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site is home to several species of palm trees as well as many animal species, some of which are endemic to the Seychelles, such as the endangered black parrot, or various birds and reptiles, including different varieties of geckos.
