Day 1: Kigali – Musanze – Iby’Iwacu Cultural Experience
Start your journey with a pickup from your hotel in Kigali and depart for Musanze and Volcanoes National Park. Arrive in the Musanze area and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Virunga Mountains.
Visit Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village for an authentic Rwandan cultural experience. Learn about local traditions, history, and community life, and enjoy traditional music and dance performances.
Have lunch at a local restaurant or lodge. Continue with the cultural experience, including demonstrations of traditional practices and interaction with the local community.
Transfer to your lodge near Volcanoes National Park and check in. Relax, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the next day's gorilla trek.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking – Kigali
Have an early breakfast at the lodge. Transfer to Kinigi Park Headquarters for registration and a gorilla trekking briefing. Begin the mountain gorilla trek with experienced park rangers and trackers. The duration depends on the location and movements of the assigned gorilla family.
Spend up to one hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat and taking photographs while following park regulations. Return from the forest and have lunch.
Begin the drive back to Kigali. Arrive in Kigali and get dropped off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport.
