Day 1: Golden Monkey Trekking & Conservation Experience
Begin your adventure with an early morning transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park. After a briefing, set off on a guided hike through bamboo forests to encounter a lively troop of golden monkeys, known for their playful nature and vibrant golden fur. Watch as they leap between trees and interact in their natural habitat—an incredible photography and wildlife experience.
After lunch, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to learn about gorilla conservation, research efforts, and Rwanda’s commitment to protecting endangered species. End your day with dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge near the park.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking – Transfer to Lake Kivu
Today is the highlight of your journey: gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park. After an early briefing, join a small group (maximum 8 people) and head into the forest with expert rangers.
Trek for 1–3 hours through lush vegetation until you encounter a family of mountain gorillas. Spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants—one of the most powerful wildlife experiences in the world.
After the trek, enjoy lunch before a scenic transfer to Lake Kivu. In the evening, relax along the lakeshore and witness the iconic sight of traditional fishing boats heading out at sunset. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a lakeside hotel.
