Day 1: Kigali – Nyungwe National Park | Canopy Walk & Cultural Experience
After breakfast in Kigali, begin your scenic drive toward Nyungwe National Park, one of Africa’s oldest and most biodiverse rainforests.
Along the way, stop at the historic Nyanza Palace Museum for a rich cultural experience and insight into Rwanda’s royal heritage. Enjoy lunch en route before continuing to Nyungwe.
Upon arrival, embark on the famous canopy walk, a suspended bridge experience offering breathtaking views above the forest canopy—one of East Africa’s top adventure activities. Spot birds, monkeys, and stunning landscapes from above.
End your day at a lodge inside or near the park, surrounded by the sounds of nature.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking – Tea Experience – Lake Kivu
Wake early for the highlight of your trip: chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe National Park. Guided by expert trackers, hike through the forest to observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat—an incredible wildlife encounter and one of Rwanda’s top tourist activities.
After the trek, enjoy a relaxing visit to a nearby tea plantation for a tea experience and tasting session, where you’ll learn about Rwanda’s tea production.
In the afternoon, transfer to Lake Kivu, one of Africa’s Great Lakes. Check into your lakeside accommodation and unwind with stunning sunset views.
Day 3: Lake Kivu Boat Tour – Return to Kigali
Start your morning with a peaceful boat excursion on Lake Kivu, cruising along the scenic shoreline. Visit one of the lake’s islands, relax on the beach, or swim in the clear waters.
After the boat experience, return to Kigali with unforgettable memories of Rwanda’s landscapes, wildlife, and culture.
