Pickup: At 6AM, the tour guide will come to pick you up from your residence.
Transfer to Nyungwe: This is a 4h 30min drive, a long and rewarding road trip. You're going to love the scenic views of the country of a thousand hills! There will be planned stopovers along the route, but if you find a beautiful spot where you would like to take a picture, feel free to ask your driver/guide to stop and do a photoshoot. Do not worry if you have skipped your breakfast, we shall stop by a nice coffee shop to grab something to eat.
As we drive through the forest, you will be greeted by cute primates crossing the road and jumping in the trees. Among them are chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, and cute squirrels.
Arrive at the park reception, for the registrations and a short briefing before the activity.
Grab a hiking stick and follow your informative guide through this nature walk, who is happy to share his knowledge about the flora and fauna of Nyungwe, making this trip a beauty of nature and a learning adventure.
The hike takes 2 to 3 hours. The amazing canopy walk takes you across a hanging platform which crosses over the tall and majestic trees of Nyungwe. The hanging platform is built 50 meters above the ground and is 200 meters long. You will have an aerial view of the forest enabling you to spot birds and more of the primates feeding on top of the trees or jumping from one tree to another.
Afterward, have lunch at the Nyungwe National Park restaurant, drive back to Kigali, and be dropped off to your destination.
