1 Day Twin Lakes with Boat tour & Hike through Local Village｜Rwanda

In the Morning at 8:00am, your driver guide will pick you up from your hotel/airport and drive to the Burera district. Your adventure begins with a moderately challenging hike to a breathtaking viewpoint. As you walk through terraced farmland and small villages, your guide will provide cultural and environmental insights, pointing out native plants and wildlife.

Upon reaching the summit, you'll be rewarded with an unparalleled 360-degree vista of the Twin Lakes. Your guide will explain the unique volcanic formation of Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo, separated by Mount Mwiko, and point out the towering volcanic peaks of the Virunga Massif in the distance.

Thereafter, you'll start a guided boat tour to explore the serene waters of Lake Ruhondo. You will visit small islands rich with birdlife—watch for kingfishers, cormorants, and egrets—and have the chance to meet local fishermen to learn about their traditional methods. Your guide will share stories about the lakes' cultural significance to these communities. Thereafter you will have Lunch in one of the Local restaurants In Musanze District, later return back to Kigali to your Hotel/flight.
