Day 1: Golden Monkeys and Twin Lakes

Begin your adventure with a morning visit to Volcanoes National Park to track the playful, endangered golden monkeys. Watch them leap through the bamboo forest and learn about their behavior from your guide.

In the afternoon, drive to the spectacular Twin Lakes, Burera and Ruhondo. Enjoy a scenic boat ride with panoramic volcanic backdrops. In the evening, travel to Gisenyi (Rubavu) on the shores of Lake Kivu for a relaxing evening and overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Kivu Adventures

Start your day with a kayak or motorized boat ride on Lake Kivu. Explore nearby islands and enjoy the fresh breeze. In the afternoon, walk along the sandy beaches of Gisenyi, visit local hot springs, and experience the vibrant lakeside culture.
