This active hiking tour combines cycling and walking to discover the exceptional landscapes of the Piton de la Fournaise massif. The departure point is at the Commerson Crater, famous for its impressive volcanic chasm and its panoramas of the southern ramparts of the island. The route begins by bike in the direction of the Plaine des Sables. This vast mineral expanse, shaped by volcanic activity and erosion, offers a unique setting with red, ocher, and black hues that evokes lunar landscapes. The route continues to the Foc Foc parking lot, the starting point of the second part of the route. From Foc Foc, the hiking tour takes the trail that runs along the Enclos Fouqué.
