商品説明
A natural adventure among volcanic shelves and crystal-clear waters. Hikers in the Macho de Monte Canyon in Chiriquí, Panama, walk along moderate trails, explore rock formations and waterfalls, and swim in natural pools of crystal-clear water (some cold and some warm). With local guides and caution, they can also jump from natural platforms and enjoy adventure activities such as rappelling. It is ideal for ecotourism and observing flora and fauna. History and geological formation The Macho de Monte Canyon was formed more than 600 years ago, after the last eruption of the Barú Volcano. The combination of seismic activity and erosion by the Macho de Monte River gave rise to this natural rift that cuts through solid volcanic rock. The canyon is approximately 96 meters long, 4 to 6 meters wide, and up to 30 meters deep.
