Begin with pickup from your hotel in Managua or free airport pickup. Choose the hassle-free option with fees included, or pay fees at the sites. Travel in a comfortable, modern vehicle to Laguna de Apoyo, where you can swim and kayak in the refreshing, crystal-clear waters of the nature reserve (if selected). This day-pass location has restaurants, lake access, kayaking, and scenic views, and is a place where you can relax and have a good time. After that we will take you to the Masaya Volcano, one of Nicaragua's main tourist attractions.
Upon arrival, drive right up to the rim of the active Santiago crater. Watch the lava lake and feel the heat emanating from the volcano. Learn about the history of the volcano and its strategic location from your guide. As we wait to drive up to the main crater we do a soft hike at Comalito a baby volcano where you can take pictures of the fumaroles and behold a majestic sunset.
After your visit, return to your hotel in Managua.
