Begin your adventure with a pickup from your accommodation in Swakopmund. Head east, stopping at the Zeila Shipwreck, Lichen Plains, small salt mines, and passing through small Namibian settlements along the coast.
Backtrack and head straight into the vast Namib Desert towards Spitzkoppe, stopping remotely in the middle of nowhere for a delicious prepared lunch with local beverages.
After lunch, proceed towards Spitzkoppe, passing locals selling tourmaline, garnet, aquamarine, and other semi-precious crystals for some interesting purchases.
See the Spitzkoppe, Namibia’s Matterhorn, in the distance. Spitzkoppe, an inselberg, reveals its age through 2000-year-old bushman paintings. Take interesting walks over the age-old geologically handsome dolomite rocks, formations, and the unimaginable views.
Climb up the Rock Arch and discover its beauty in particular. After all the climbing and learning about the rock paintings, head to the Moonlandscape. Follow the unique ecosystem of gravel plains and wind-eroded river valleys for some breathtaking views of this 500-million-year-old area.
After a long and incredible day, filled with experience from beginning to the end, return to Swakopmund at sunset.
