Mauritania: Visit Ma-Atamoulana and discover its traditions｜Mauritania

The experience begins with pickup from your accommodation in Nouakchott, from where we will travel approximately 300 kilometers into the interior of Mauritania until we reach Ma-Atamaulana, a town where you can get to know the daily life of the local community up close.

On arrival, you'll be greeted by the villagers and begin an experience of living together in a rural and traditional setting. You'll visit their medicinal garden, where you'll learn about different plants traditionally used by the community and their local knowledge and uses. You can also discover a small oasis of palm trees and enjoy the town's natural surroundings.

During your stay, you'll have the opportunity to spend time with the local population, learn about their customs, and experience a way of life that's very different from the usual tourist routes. The activity is designed to experience the destination in a close, respectful, and authentic way.

This is not hotel accommodation: the stay is in local homes, so it is important to be prepared for a simple, rural experience. It is recommended that you bring a mosquito net, insect repellent, torch, comfortable and light clothing, suitable footwear, personal hygiene items, and everything you may need for a basic stay.

At the end of the experience, you will be dropped off in Nouakchott, where the activity ends.
