Day 1: Ulaanbaatar – Hustai National Park – Elsen Tasarkhai (Sand Dune Hills) (L/D) Depart Ulaanbaatar and drive to Hustai National Park, home to the rare wild Takhi (Przewalski’s) horses. Enjoy a short hike through the park to spot these majestic animals in their natural habitat. Continue your journey to Elsen Tasarkhai, a unique area of rolling sand dunes, grasslands, and mountains. Explore the dunes on foot and experience a camel ride across the frozen sands. Dinner and overnight with a local nomadic family. (Approx. 330 km / 6–7 hours driving)
Day 2: Elsen Tasarkhai – Khugnu Khan – Ulaanbaatar (B/L) After breakfast, join your host family for a hands-on nomadic experience—help with herding livestock and learn about their winter lifestyle. Later, visit the ruins of the ancient Buddhist temple nestled in the Khugnu Khan Mountain valley. After lunch, drive back to Ulaanbaatar, arriving in the evening. (Approx. 290 km / 5–6 hours driving)
