Discover the historic city of Ohrid, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its exceptional cultural and religious heritage. Often referred to as the “City of 365 Churches,” Ohrid reflects centuries of influence from the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman eras. Enjoy a guided walking tour through the Old Town, followed by free time at the Ohrid Bazaar, where you may explore the local atmosphere or enjoy lunch at one of the traditional restaurants.
The journey continues along the shores of Lake Ohrid with a brief stop at the Bay of Bones, an important archaeological site that offers insight into the region’s ancient history.
Proceed to the Saint Naum Monastery, one of the most significant religious monuments in North Macedonia. Admire its remarkable Byzantine architecture, visit the monastery church, and enjoy panoramic views overlooking Lake Ohrid. The monastery grounds, known for their peaceful setting and resident peacocks, provide a memorable cultural and natural experience.
Returning to Albania, follow the scenic lakeside route before ascending to Mount Qafe Thana for a stop at the picturesque village of Lin. Overlooking the lake, this charming settlement offers magnificent views and an excellent opportunity for photographs before the return journey to Tirana.
