Travel through Luxembourg’s legendary Valley of the Seven Castles. Discover medieval fortresses, fairy-tale ruins, and noble residences along one of Europe’s most scenic castle routes.
Start at Mersch Castle, once a strategic fortress and today housing the town administration. Continue to Schoenfels Castle and Hollenfels Castle, where photo stops reveal classic medieval silhouettes.
At midday, discover the highlight of the valley: the Old and New Ansembourg Castles. The New Castle is surrounded by Baroque gardens, while the Old Castle offers a glimpse into medieval grandeur.
In the afternoon, travel further along the valley to Septfontaines Castle, known for its romantic setting, and finish at Koerich Castle, a Gothic-Romanesque ruin often called the “Sleeping Beauty” of Luxembourg.
