商品説明
NB: The tour is conducted in English language.
Begin at the monument of Grand Duke Gediminas, where your guide (holding something yellow) will gather the curious. Wander through the historic park, past the Old Arsenal and the towering Upper Castle (viewed from below), and to the Palace of the Grand Dukes.
Along the way, hear of pagan rites once performed beneath sacred groves, the coming of Christianity, and the transformation of Vilnius from a small settlement into one of medieval Europe’s most powerful capitals.
Then, the doors open to Vilnius Cathedral—and the true adventure begins. Beneath the grand marble floors lies a world few ever see: shadowy crypts, centuries-old frescoes, intricate stone arches, and chambers where noble families and rulers rest in silence. This is a place locked to casual visitors—only accessible with a guide—and its stories are as rich as the treasures once hidden here.
Discover the meaning behind carved symbols, the purpose of secret passageways, and the legends locals still whisper: from vanished relics to the ghost who roams the tomb of a long-forgotten noble. Will you meet them? Or perhaps find answers to the cathedral’s unsolved mysteries?
The tour will end at the same place where it starts.
