Sunset Horseback Riding & Bareback Swimming Experience
Embark on an unforgettable beachside adventure from Heritage Quay OR your hotel to the beautiful Fort James Beach!
Your experience begins with approximately 50 minutes of relaxed horseback riding with our experienced guides. This is a walking horseback-riding tour — not a running or galloping tour. Whether you are an experienced rider or a little nervous around horses, our guides are there to make you feel comfortable. Guests who are scared or have limited riding experience may have their horse placed on a lead rope for additional guidance and reassurance.
Ride along the scenic coastline and explore the beautiful surroundings of Runaway Beach. Along the way, you'll see remnants of historic sugar mills and an old fort nestled among luxurious homes and local residences while hearing fascinating stories about the island's history and culture.
Then comes one of the highlights of the experience: approximately 10 minutes of swimming bareback with the horses in the beautiful Caribbean waters. Enjoy this unique experience, cool off in the sea, and capture unforgettable photos and memories alongside your horse.
After your ride and swim, take a leisurely walk along the seaside, enjoy the tropical breeze, and soak up the beauty of the beach before your adventure comes to an end.

This experience is available for both cruise ship passengers and hotel guests.
Cruise ship passengers: Please select Heritage Quay Complex as your pickup location. Easy-to-follow meeting instructions will be sent to you after booking. If you are arriving by cruise ship, please tell us its departure time.
Hotel guests: Please select your hotel as your pickup location.
We carefully plan the experience with cruise schedules in mind, so cruise passengers can enjoy the tour without missing their ship.
Important Information
• Maximum guest weight: 250 lbs
• Guests must sign a waiver at the meeting or pickup point.
• This is a relaxed horseback-riding tour. It is not a running or galloping experience.
• Guests with little or no riding experience are welcome. A guide may place your horse on a lead rope if needed.
• Beach chairs and umbrellas are not owned or operated by the tour company and are available for rent from independent beach vendors.
• Bar and restaurant facilities are available at the beach.
• Please bring swimwear, sunscreen, a towel, and comfortable clothing suitable for horseback riding.
