Experience Guilin's waterways at night aboard a traditional Caidiao opera boat for a one-of-a-kind cultural journey.During the journey, you will see stunning night views including the Golden Twin Pagodas, Moon Bridge, and karst hills illuminated against the water. At the same time, you will enjoy live Caidiao performances. This nationally-recognized intangible cultural heritage, also known as Guilin Opera or literally called Polychrome Tone, is performed by costumed local artists as you cruise. Through humorous dialect songs about daily life, love and work, you can discover the spirit of Guilin people.Your English-speaking guide will explain the cultural context and gist of the lyrics during the performance. After the show, the guide will help you communicate with the performers. You may ask questions, try on costumes, and even play some instruments.
