This private day tour covers Datong area. You can visit Yungang Grottoes, Hanging Temple with a custom schedule and private vehicle.

We provide pick-up and drop-off at hotels or stations within Datong city. Airport transfer is available for an extra fee of 100 RMB.

Hanging Temple has three types of tickets: outer viewing ticket, inner climbing ticket and scenic shuttle bus ticket. The outer viewing ticket and shuttle bus are mandatory. The inner climbing ticket has a strict daily quota: only 100 tickets available per day for foreign visitors and travellers from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
You may purchase tickets by yourself. If you need our assistance to buy tickets, please leave a message to our staff. Three optional ticket packages are available:

Package A: Yungang Grottoes ticket + Hanging Temple outer viewing ticket + Hanging Temple shuttle bus
Package B: Yungang Grottoes ticket + Hanging Temple outer viewing ticket + inner climbing ticket + Hanging Temple shuttle bus
Package C: Yungang Grottoes ticket + Hanging Temple VIP fast-track package (Xuankong Temple admission + climbing fee + exclusive fast track + VIP lounge + digital experience center + exclusive shuttle rideshare + souvenir)

Your tour starts with pick-up at your accommodation in Datong. Meet your driver and begin your trip.

If you select Yungang Grottoes, you will see thousands of Buddha statues, including the famous 13.7m outdoor Buddha in Cave 20.

At Hanging Temple, your guide will show you this cliff-hanging ancient building. Walk along wooden steps and enjoy valley views.

The tour ends with drop-off back at your hotel.
