— What You Can Expect —

Your journey will start with a self-drive to Skyrail Smithfield Terminal, where you’ll meet with our representative who will help you check in and issue you a Kuranda boarding pass. This includes a detailed itinerary with a timetable, along with your Kuranda Scenic Rail and Skyrail tickets, allowing you to head straight to the boarding area.

Board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and enjoy an unforgettable cable car ride over the world’s oldest tropical rainforest, Daintree Rainforest. There will be two stops along the way so you can disembark and explore the verdant jungle. Once you arrive in Kuranda, you’ll have some free time to roam around Kuranda Village, a mountain retreat surrounded by the Daintree tropical rainforest. Use the discount vouchers on your Kuranda boarding pass or visit the heritage markets to shop for souvenirs.

If you’re hungry and want to rest, there’s plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby where you can sit down for a meal and enjoy the ambience of the rainforest. Proceed to Kuranda Station to experience the Kuranda Scenic Rail, one of the most distinctive rail journeys in Australia. Sit back and gaze at the lush rainforest surrounding you as the train makes its way from Kuranda to Freshwater station, passing by magnificent waterfalls and through Barron Gorge. Disembark at Freshwater station and board a shuttle bus that will take you back to Skyrail Smithfield Terminal, where your car is parked.
