Begin your experience at the Adventure Beyond Chania base in Souda. Meet your local guide, complete the necessary registration, and receive a detailed safety briefing. Learn how to operate your automatic buggy before completing a short test drive.

Once everyone feels comfortable, set off towards the hills above Souda Bay. Follow a varied route on and off-road through small villages, countryside roads, and elevated viewpoints offering impressive views over Chania, Souda Bay, and the White Mountains.

Continue towards Ancient Aptera, one of the most important archaeological locations in western Crete. Visit the Ottoman Koules Fortress, which stands in a commanding position overlooking the bay. From the surrounding viewpoints, hear the story of the historic Izzeddin Prison and admire the Venetian fortress situated on Souda Island.

Throughout the safari, your local guide will share stories about the region, its landmarks, and the people who shaped its history. There will also be opportunities to stop, take photographs, and enjoy the majestic scenery.

After exploring the highlands, villages, and historic monuments, enjoy the buggy drive back to Souda.
