What is Nagoya Port Sea Train Land?
Nagoya Port Sea Train Land is an amusement park located in the Minato Ward of Nagoya, right next to the Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium. Admission to the park is free, and it features 16 attractions ranging from classics like the carousel and family roller coaster to interactive games such as the card maze, laser shooting, and AR ghost hunting, offering fun for both adults and children. Its most prominent landmark is the 85-meter-tall giant Ferris wheel, one of the largest in the Chubu region, which offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Nagoya Port by day and becomes a famous night view and dating spot in Nagoya when the Ferris wheel and carousel light up after dark.
What can you do at Nagoya Port Sea Train Land?
The one-day pass allows unlimited rides on 12 eligible attractions. First, board the giant Ferris wheel to take in the harbor and city views of Nagoya Port. Then, enter the card maze 'Gururi Forest Adventure', where you can use an adventure book to solve puzzles and play games, collecting Gururi cards that can be used for card battles. For those who enjoy exciting interaction, the Legend of Salamander lets you ride while using a laser gun to fend off monsters, Ghost Hunter 2 uses AR technology to hunt ghosts, and 4D-KING provides an immersive experience with vibration and wind in a 360-degree surround screen. Digital ASOBU allows you to use your whole body to throw balls and rescue baby dinosaurs, while the North Pole slide lets children sit on a seal to splash down. The carousel, illuminated after dark, is a popular photo spot in the park.
Should you choose the General Pass or the Parent-Child Package?
The content of both options is the same; the difference lies in the group composition. The General Pass is divided into tickets for elementary school students and above, and children aged 3 to pre-elementary, allowing you to mix and match as needed, making it suitable for friends or families with children of elementary school age and older. The Parent-Child Package is a fixed combination of one child aged 3 to pre-elementary and one companion aged 16 or older. Since all rides in the park require preschool children to be accompanied by a companion aged 16 or older, the Parent-Child Package is the most convenient choice for parents traveling with young children. If you have children of elementary school age or older, please purchase individual General Passes instead.
