Product Info

Leaving early from your accommodation in Puerto Varas, we head towards the foothills of the Osorno Volcano, in the direction of the La Picada Sector, starting our journey at 700 meters above sea level with a gradual ascent of 400 meters of elevation gain, a 1-hour uphill hike until we reach the maximum height of 1,090 meters above sea level. On the ascent, we can see some of the area's native trees until we reach a vantage point with a panoramic view of Cerro La Picada and the Osorno Volcano. We'll rest and take pictures for 20 minutes.
We'll begin our descent, where we'll be able to enjoy an excellent view of Todos Los Santos Lake and its surroundings. Once we reach our next destination, the Mirador de La Picada vantage point, we will rest, take pictures, and regain our strength with our box lunch, while taking in the Osorno and Calbuco Volcanoes, Cerro Tronador, Puntiagudo, La Picada, and the Sierra Santo Domingo. We continue descending towards the beach, cool off in the lake (in the summer season), and continue towards the Petrohué Sector, where our route ends.
We will return to Puerto Varas, this time along the southern side of the volcano's skirts and through the village of Villa Ensenada.
