Discover the scenery, history and everyday life of Olden on a relaxed two-hour guided walking tour beginning directly at the cruise port. Follow your local guide through the village and alongside the Olden River, enjoying views of the fjord, surrounding mountains, traditional farms, gardens and wooden houses. Along the way, hear stories about local life, farming traditions, Viking heritage and the development of Olden through the years.
The route includes stops near Olden Old Church, Olden New Church and landmarks connected to the American artist and philanthropist William Singer, who played an important role in the local community. There will be regular opportunities to take photographs, ask questions and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Covering approximately four kilometres at a comfortable pace, this small-group tour is limited to ten guests. Water and a light local snack are included. The tour starts and finishes in the Olden cruise port area, making it a convenient and memorable way to experience the village without transportation.
