Tratzberg Castle: Entry including adventure castle tour in 9 languages｜Austria

Immerse yourself in over 500 years of history and discover Tratzberg Castle – one of the best-preserved Renaissance castles in Austria. The castle, which is still privately occupied by the Goëss-Enzenberg family of counts, will thrill you with its original state rooms, valuable art treasures, and a unique historical atmosphere.

CASTLE TOUR
The approximately one-hour castle tour takes you through the castle's most impressive rooms. Instead of a classic audio tour, you will experience the history in the form of a specially designed radio play that accompanies you through the historic rooms in an entertaining way. Throughout the guided tour, a castle guide accompanies the group, ensures that everything runs smoothly, provides exciting background information, and is available to answer questions at any time.

FAIRY TALE TOUR FOR CHILDREN
For children, there is a separate fairy tale tour at the same time as the adult tour, in which they discover the castle in a playful way. Afterward, they can take part in the knight quiz and, with a bit of luck, win great prizes.

VIRTUAL REALITY TIME TRAVEL
Those who want to delve even deeper into history can also extend their visit with a fascinating 360° virtual reality journey through time in our new adventure carriage. Experience the fire of the medieval castle in 1492, follow the reconstruction of the present-day castle around 1500, and finally enjoy a spectacular virtual flight over Tratzberg Castle and the Tyrolean mountains.

TRATZBERG EXPRESS SIGHTSEEING TRAIN
Even the journey to the castle on the Tratzberg-Express scenic train through the idyllic castle forest is a special experience. A ride on the scenic train costs €2.00. The stop is located opposite the Schlosswirt restaurant, about 3 minutes from the P1 visitor parking lot. A ride on our scenic train takes about 15 minutes. You can easily reach the castle on foot via the forest path (about 10 minutes) or Schlossstraße (about 20 minutes).

PARKING
Three spacious visitor parking lots (P1–P3) are available for your visit directly at the foot of the castle. Our parking system works with automatic license plate recognition. The first 30 minutes are free, after which the parking fee is €0.60 for every 30 minutes or part thereof. Parking fees can be conveniently paid at the payment terminal in parking lot P1 (card payment) or online via QR code within 48 hours of exiting.
